Daily Ummat Karachi Newsspaper in Urdu Today 17-09-2014 Edition

Ummat is a urdu newspaper based in Karachi. It was launched almost 17 years ago by a diplomat and journalist Salahudeen. It was his independent and brave journalism because of which he was killed by MQM. Monthly Ghazi and weekly Takbeer are part of Ummat group. It is a Islamic newspaper which is famous for its independent reporting.
Rafique Afghan is current chief editor of this newspaper who is a renowned journalist. Ummat publication publishes openly and bravely all the local issues of Karachi. After Jang group it is the second widely circulated newspaper of Pakistan. The most famous thing about Ummat is that their publisher interviewed Usama Bin Laden soon after 9/11. In which he strictly told that he is not involved in the 9/11 attack. The reporters did not meet Usama personally however they sent written question to the taliban group and Usama sent back the written answers but people and other political leader raised the question over this interview which was hard time for Ummat group.
Daily Ummat national news and local news of Karachi. They also publishes the articles written by famous writers who highlight the major issues of Karachi.Its Gazi and Takbeer magazine are famous as well. In these magazines they publish islamic literature, health tips, discussion various famous stars and politicians on current national issues , fashion tips, current fashion related to dresses and jewellery, some cultural stories and jokes for kids.
